Child Welfare Committee Member Feature

April Featured Committee Member: Farihah Hossain

Meet Farihah Hossain, a staff attorney at RAICES Texas dedicated to changing lives through her work on the Child Welfare Public Policy Committee. As a child of immigrants and a mother herself, Farihah’s deep-rooted values in hard work and community service stem from her father’s enduring generosity despite life’s hardships.

Her connection to the Minaret Foundation sparked at an Austin Citywide Iftar and married her professional life with her passion for interfaith collaboration—a journey that began in her school years. At RAICES, she’s a legal advocate and a policy shaper, striving to create better futures for children from underserved communities through education and opportunity.

Farihah’s work with the Child Welfare Public Policy Committee underscores her belief in proactive change. She tirelessly crafts policies that uplift young lives, a mission inspired by her belief in the power of education and advocacy. Her story is a compelling narrative of commitment to the welfare of children and the power of community-driven change.

Thank you, Farihah, for your involvement with Minaret Foundation and for dedicating your time to serve on the Child Welfare Public Policy Committee!
